Seems Kirkland agreed to fight for Rosado for 270,000(a career high) then backed out. Rosado even agreed to a 157 pound catch weight.

Also seems Kirkland's not being considered to fight Alvarez either, he has nothing lined up even though he's one of the more exciting fighters in boxing. It's a shame Kirkland hasn't been able to do more with his career.

If Abregu-Ali is the replacement its a decent fight, nothing special and a step down from Kirkland-Rosado. The nice part of Abregu-Ali is that its a GBP-Top Rank fight. The first one made without a purse bid in several years.

With Kirkland-Rosado not happening I'd much prefer to see Alvarez face Rosado instead of Clottey. I don't think Rosado has much of a chance of beating Alvarez(neither does Clottey) but atleast Rosado will come to fight where Clottey will come to survive.

I hear Kirkland backed up because he was not happy with the cut 50cent was going to take.
