Even though a graphic flashed onscreen after the co-main with Valdez & Medina's names saying "proximo" (next), there's actually some other swing bout happening now.

This one isn't even listed on Boxrec so I had to scramble to identify them just by their last names (and being 130lbers from Mexico) with some insta-sleuthing.

 

Both are undefeated. Parra has a draw on his record and Orduño has a NC.

Corona Parra looks to be the heavier-handed.

This is a war. It's almost like they're giving us a treat making up for Ramírez vs. Guerrero never getting into full swing.

In a way, I suppose that is exactly what the matchmakers are doing here. Just think - if that NC had not happened, we might even not have seen this one televised!

Some old-school infighting here. Jab, jab, and short right into the face barging in, then a stiff forearm on the neck to push the opponent against the ropes, then a pair of full torsion left rips downstairs.

Parra winning all these rounds by like a 60-40 margin. Orduño game but needs a KO at this point.

 

Orduño ripping some MONSTER underhand shots on the body in R5, but he might be in too deep a hole for all of this effort not to be in vain, unless he can at least begin scoring knockdowns...

 

Goddamn, what a fight. Parra was getting abused to his body for two minutes, then woke up and rocked Orduño with a combination with a minute left, and they spent the rest of the round just slamming each other with big shots.

Carlos Irusta still has it a clean 50-45 sweep for Corona Parra, not sure I agree with giving him the 5th at all. Orduño was probably the more hurt, but only for a very brief moment in a round he came on and bossed otherwise.

59-55 is okay too.
