They frikkin love him down Sonora way, though... I think any round where he doesn't get dropped they'll keep on cheering him like mad to make it sound like he won.

Hopefully the judges are sober-minded enough to ignore that. (unlike Irusta)

Valdez is scoring in bursts of a couple of shots - double jabs, or left hook downstairs and right hand up top - but Medina keeps walking him down, guard up, being busier, working everything off the stiff jab between Valdez's eyes. Time out, Medina's glove needs to be re-taped. Time in, Medina dips to his left and scores a body hook. Valdez crowding in, gloves up, pressuring from a crouch, but doesn't get any shots off before the bell rings.
