A clean 40-36 sweep for the Nicaraguan (Blandón) thus far over the Guatemalan on the unofficial scorecard of Latin American boxing Twitter guru and ESPN Knockout consultant @JulianisJulius.

 

60-54 ...and the beat goes on.

 

For anybody just tuning in, take a wild guess which guy is a 10-0-1 prospect and which is his 10-5-1 opponent.

White trunks with yellow trim and black waistband is the local prospect Blandón. The other guy in tricolor is Muñoz, with his nickname "Demonio" printed above his crotch

 

This wasn't a bad scrap per se, just felt kind of interminable with the result never being in doubt and both of them being featherfists (Blandón has just three stoppages and Muñoz two). I'd be super restless by now had I tuned in any earlier than R4.

A slate of three identical 80-72 cards should be forthcoming momentarily.

Eveling Junieth Ortega Gatica vs. Brenda Balderas Martínez, 8x2 rounds @ light flyweight

 

Ortega is a local Managua gal, 11-5, nicknamed Colocha (which means "Curly").

Martínez hails from Mexico and is 8-8-1, nicknamed Hormiguita or "little ant".

 

These chicks have just half a dozen kayos between them in 33 bouts, and neither has ever been stopped.

I just want to watch the main event and go to bed already!

At least it's the short rounds so they're flying by...

 

JulianisJulius finally gave Balderas Martínez a round in the 4th, and has it 39-37 Ortega.

There's a deep cut over Balderas Martínez's heavily-Vaselined right eye, so I think she's battling with a little more desperation and urgency.

 

Lots of holding.

 

79-73 on JJ's card. Guess that one burst in round four after getting cut was all Balderas Martínez had in her.
