You are right in a way and no one who liked Pulev's performance suggested he's gonna blast AJ out. Pulev did a lot of "same old, same old", but he did more of it, he did it more often and he did it better. Often, and in this case, this is enough. Most of us expected a boring fight and instead we got a really entertaining drama. What's not to like?

P.S. Come to think about it - it was a damn good fight and I'd pay to see another one like it.

Maybe but without the cut and the punch to the back of the head? I enjoyed it but I enjoyed it for the drama rather than the quality or skill shown, would you agree?
The heart he showed to come back from a cut? Is heart needed to comeback from a cut? Abit of blood definatly influences a lot of people and gives the commentators something to spin/hype one way or the other, I just don’t think a cut holds anymore relevance regarding heart or coming back than taking some heavy flush shots, probably less really.
I can’t remember a fighter who has quit due to being cut unless it’s impaired their vision.

I didn’t see much to impress from Pulev lastnight, imagine Pulev was Joshua’s voluntary defence after his performance lastnight, would it be credible? Or acceptable? I think he would get slaughtered for taking it,yet he’s a mando... the only thing he is, is the meanest looking boxer there is lol.

 

Pulev did a good job last night but I expected that. If he was to ko Rivas as he says he wants to that would be a major statement of intent.
