Straight combos from Bastar while Nava continues to slap wide downstairs. Shoeshines on the face from Bastar, keeping himself busy in between meaty body shots. Nava starts to smack Bastar across the cheek on the inside with a left hook, landing it during two consecutive exchanges, causing Bastar to back off momentarily. Nava throws a huge flurry and misses everything, Bastar dialing in a straight left counter on the button. Nava lands an overhand right.

Bastar is slipping the multiple jabs of Nava, but getting caught by a lunging right cross while circling in predictable and familiar patterns going counterclockwise at one speed with little variation, staying on-rails and keeping his gloves low by his waist. Bastar is trotting around Nava, kicking his heels out as he goes, occasionally stopping to drop them and spear out a 1-2. Nava is slapping the body jumping in, pushing a jab, and clanging some overhand rights off the upper cheek of Bastar backing him. Both land hooks in an exchange at the bell.
