4: Hirano 9-10 Shimomachi - Close round again but Hirano touched his gloves on the canvas but not ruled a KD
5: Hirano 9-10 Shimomachi - Close again
6: Hirano 8-10 Shimomachi - Nice Knockdown - Shimomachi with a knockdown but did get caught a couple of times from Hirano stepping forward.
7: Hirano 10-9 Shimomachi - Flashier and faster shots looked to be from Shimomachi but Hirano is still a very live opponent with some good clean work landing of his own.

5-4 Hirano. He landed some vicious right hands and overall just let his hands go. Shimomachi simply stands there and waits for his moments, which rarely come.

 

I have it Hirano 84 - 86 Shimomachi going into the last round but the commentators think it could be closer. The knockdown looks to be vital.

That makes is 94-94 on my scorecard. Will be interesting to see what the judges bring...

And down goes Shimomachi! What a 10th round.
Hirano comes out firing and landing in the 10th. Shimomachi slowly gets back into the round and just as Shimomachi starts landing more punchines, Hirano sits him down!

6-4 Hirano for me. Both men scored a knockdown, and the judge stole an additional one from Shimomachi.

And still champion via majority decision!
Eh, not terrible cards. Some of the early rounds were very close and it was a close fight overall.
Sucks for Hirano.

 

I had Shimomachi nicking it. Good fight though.

I was supposed to have an exam today but it got postponed due to Storm Eowyn, so I'm quite happy to be watching boxing instead of sitting in an exam hall all day.

 

I think the South Korean just take his chance he is not bad and of course he writes history because Naoya Inoue is the most good boxer in Asia actually and the South Korea have his last world challenger in 2015 !!

I know what you mean and I was like that University is very boring and depressive as fu** in France but you need to work your exams this is more and more important than a card of boxing.

 

DON´T LISTEN TO HIM! Boxing first! Then once you are relaxed and motivated, you can return to studying.
