The Sun reckon they are favourites to get UFC rights.

Good sign for the chances of them picking up boxing as well?

:happy:happy:happy:happy I don't care about the UFC but, as you say, this might be the start of some serious intentions (forgetting the shitloads of cash they forked out for the prem rights!) Maybe boxing in the UK will have a new home:happy:happy:happy:happy

If they get the UFC they must get the station up and running asap as I think UFC100 is next weekend.

    UFC 100 is on Virgin.

ESPN are getting the rights for all future ones after that.

I think he actually means the actual channel 'Virgin'. I think it's called Virgin 1 now, which is pointless on their part considering there are no other Virgin channels.:think

i think the whole "virgin 1" thing was to get at sky after their little fracas. They brought out V+ too. anyway back to the topic... it would be great if thats true and they do get the boxing too. i just hope it would be the same deal as setanta, meaning i would get it for free with my tv package

I'd be suprised if Virgin and ESPN were to arrange that to be honest.:-(

ah that's ****. Well i hope that it can at least be a good deal unlike the sky packages. Tbh if they have football, UFC and boxing for a good price then i'm definitely in, if its a sky style thing then **** them.

    btw im from bristol too

Just down the road. I know we get a lot of stick in the media because of the farmer/ pirate accents but I love the West Country. Then again I would say that:good.
