You can't get Virgin everywhere? That's crap for a TV company, really. I think it'll be a stand alone channel like Setanta was. It won't be part of the Sky sports package- Sky have just been approached to make the prem content for them. Just like when we watch fights over here packaged by other TV channels. I think that's the arrangement between them and Sky anyway. We shall see.

nope virgin isn't in alot of areas. I hope it'll be a standalone as i don't want to get tied into a 12 month contract with sky and pay them £16.50 a month.

I might be completely wrong but I think the UFC bid by ESPN might be bad news for boxing fans. I believe ESPN will launch a sports channel rather than a relauched ESPN America with Premier League Football but they might think that having UFC on will satisfy all fight fans. I love boxing but have no interest in MMA even though I have tried to watch it several times. I think there's no way they'll pick up the Setanta Top Rank and German contracts and will probably look to start with a few big eye-catching contracts :- Premier League, FA Cup, UFC , SPL etc. I don't know how Espn will survive. They'll have less sports than Setanta yet will expect subscribers to pay a similar rate.

you got a link to confirm m8. from what i've read before ch5 might get it, their bid is lower than espn but they will have a much larger audience.

as an mma fan i think it would be great if ESPN missed out the UFC, as they might try and go after Strikeforce, Affliction, Dream and Sengoku. couldnt see any other circumstances in which those cards might get shown. and clearly they might try harder to bring in some boxing.

Whoever said UFC100 is on Virgin either has inside info or is just speculating as nothing has been announced yet. The UK head of UFC said he expects to announce on Monday.

I don't think it is bad news mate. I understand where you are coming from but they need content and I don't think they would just dismiss boxing because they had UFC. However, I don't expect them to pick up the Sauerland contract but do expect them to have an interest in some boxing

Affliction did have a deal with Bravo. Not sure if they are showing the 3rd show though. I'm socked Strikeforce and WEC haven't got deals in the UK yet but don't hold out any hope of Dream or Sengoku getting picked up

As opposed to the open, fair minded view you are taking on their sport?!
