I agree. This is the main thing hurting boxing...promoters.

I have always rooted for Cotto. I was following him since he fought Malignaggie and he became my favorite fighter along with JMM in that timeframe.

Oh ok just asking. You seem anti-Cotto most of the time.

So, the only way Arum will match one of his fighters outside of Top Rank, is if the other promotional company sign the fight over to him and he can still keep it in-house? **** off Bob.

Martinez is too much for Cotto.

It was foolish to expect much from it to begin with.

Maybe just curious how long Cotto would last?

I get that sense from you. Check my history man i was always rooting for Cotto and it was sad seeing him take those beatings from Pac and Margartito. I picked him in both fights.

I think you think im hating on him cause i say Margo beats him. Im just being a realist and honestyl i think its a bad move since he will take that same beating even worse at 154. As much as Margarito is limited he is all wrong for Cotto. I mean we just saw his chin and stamina are still there along with his power.

And people here were bashing on gbp? lol. This sucks in a huge possible way. Martinez deserves a big money fight in which one of them is fighting Cotto. But NOOOO!!!!! Bob grumpy Arum won't allow it unless he can promote himself for that fight in which Lou can't be involved. Arum i think is worse then gbp. Sure Margarito beat Cotto but damn that first fight was at ww in which both Cotto and Margarito was fresh. But now? Margarito is damage good but yet he's getting another title shot? Come on man this is bs.

Bob is worse than GBP. But honestly I rather get promoted by TR than GBP.

Cotto is not the ducking type. Its all Arum even though it sounds like he is using Cotto as an excuse.

Word. If you read it the problem is the co-promoting. Bob wants 100% of it.

Never thought this fight would happen. Arum is keeping Cotto lined up for a Pacquaio rematch and Martinez would have done away with that by beating Cotto. Martinez-Cotto would have been a big fight but Martinez was going to be a big favorite there and since I didn't see the fight happening the fight not happening isn't that big of a deal.

This does leave two things happening that I'm not too crazy about. It looks like Cotto-Margarito is going to be on ppv and I'm not thrilled about the rematch being on ppv. Thats a good HBO fight but both guys are past their best, Margarito probably more so, and I doubt the fight lives up to the first one. The other problem is Martinez probably fights Andy Lee. I've never been sold on Lee and the idea of him in the ring with Martinez is laughable.
