I hope so. But honestly i think Cotto gets another horrible beating shortening his career even more. Im not ready to let Cotto go yet so im hoping this fight dont happen till maybe later in his career. I wanna see him dominate 154 which i think he can do.

According to The Scene, the talks aren't completely dead yet. Arum is supposed to meet with Chris John's adivser Sampson Lewkowicz this morning to discuss a fight between John and Gamboa. Lewkowicz also represents Martinez and hopes to work out an agreement for Martinez-Cotto during their meeting.

Martinez called out Mosely, Angulo, PBF, Cotto, and Pac. There are at least 4-5 middleweights calling out Martinez, and he has a mandatory. Martinez appears to be ducking the entire middleweight division.

To be a star you have to beat a star.

To fight a star you have to make concessions to the star.

    (Ex. Pac/DLH, PBF/DLH)

    Dibella and Martinez ****ed up.

The only way Martinez fights Cotto is if he goes and signs with Top Rank.

Yeah basically. Bob Arum's a good business man, but terrible for the fans. As long as he has in house fights for any of his fighters, that's the route he's going to go.

Cotto- Marg 2 is fine as long as he doesn't try that bull**** proposal of his and throw the winner of that at Pacquiao. ****in A, Arum.

You really think hes ducking people?

I just think hes after that big money. If big money isn't in the future he'll fight anyways.

One very interesting fact is that Arum is talking complete bull**** about Sergio not being able to sell the fight. The Cotto-Foreman fight got about 1.6 million viewers on the nielsen rating when the Martinez-Williams got 1.3 million. WTF is going on here? Martinez not a draw? :rofl C'mon Arum, you can't fool the fans. With numbers like that I doubt Martinez and Williams are fighters that don't or can't produce numbers because they obviously do!

But I am glad the Cotto-Margo rematch will take place instead. Sergio fighting Lee who has a following of his own will only help Sergio gain more popularity.

Thing is, Martinez-Williams II was paired with the rebroadcast of Pacquiao-Margarito.

First Im Puerto Rican and Cotto was our fighter replacing a retired Trinidad as our main guy....I did not enjoy the Margo or Pac beatdowns and have always questioned the trainer and of course with the trainer comes the strategy, which I have also always questioned.

I want to see Cotto now with the elite trainer he always should have had and see what happens, and honestly a settling of accounts with Margo is #1 and Martinez is too big and too good right now, lets see what happens then, if we see an improved elite Cotto maybe rePac then maybe in the near future Martinez, but right now lets see him vs a Margo and see whats left?

The only real middleweight Martinez ever fought was half drunk, hung over, weight drained and dehydrated. No way in hell can you blame that on Martinez, but it seems to be the reality of the situation. That truly pathetic version of Pavlik won 4 or 5 rounds (depending on who you give the 4th round to,) blacked Sergio's eyes, and put him on his ass. I think Martinez knows he's not a real middleweight, and can't live up to the present hype around him. Therefore, he wants to cash out as quickly as possible.
