ESPN/Michael Katsidis : "The fight will go on!"

Hmm not good for Katsidis. You gotta wonder if he will be all there mentally. I mean he is a fighter who really fights on heart instead of skill. This could really motivate him or completely hurt him. I think hurt is more than likely what it will lead to.

 

I will be rooting for you all the way Kats! My hero (After Khan that is)

 

I said on another thread a couple of days ago that Katsidis is a warrior and that he would probably go through with the fight and dedicate the fight to his brother and i was right,much respect to him.

I like JMM but after what happened with Kats i'm going to root for him.WAR KATSIDIS.

 

For some reason i think this is going to really motivate Katsidis. Whatever happens i hope his family is coping as well as can be expected. I hope for both fighters to emerge from this fight with their health intact. Marquez is a personal hero of mine... i will be rooting for him but will not begrudge Mr Katsidis the victory

 

Man if there is a time I'd be cool with Marquez getting taken out its probably right now....I'll be rooting for Katsidiz now too. The first time I read this statement my gut reaction was "this guy is nuts". When reading it a second time its more clear to me that, no, this guy isn't trying to play down or hide his emotions...he's just a brave SOB. I think he will be inspired by his brother's memory and I wish him luck.

Kats' statement was heartfelt. He was already a fighter that is hard not to like. Now I view him as a man that's hard not to like.

 

He is exactly the kind of fighter who would be able to find another notch after taking a hit like that. I don't know how anyone could not like him. He can win this, Marquez is still very good but no longer great, imo. I like fights where I'll be happy for whoever the winner is. This is one of them.
