ESPN broadcast getting preempted by the college baseball world series, bottom of the 8th, Vanderbilt at bat, Arizona trailing by a run, no base runners and two down.

 

FFS, pitcher swap. That means automatic commercial break just to get the next hitter at the plate and hopefully finish the damn inning.

 

Wtf, it used to be when this happened you could watch the live boxing on ESPN3.com/ESPN360/WatchESPN or whatever they called the free version at different times but now the app wants you to login to an ESPN+ account just to do that.

It was never supposed to be an ESPN+ exclusive event. Simulcasts of planned regular televised ESPN that get preempted are supposed to have always been accessible via the backdoor to any ESPN cable subscribers. This is BS.

 

Anybody else SERIOUSLY bothered at this? I get that some content they want behind the paywall for the benefit of their premium customer base that springs for the +, fine, but this is an event they advertised to be airing from 10pm EST on regular ESPN, the channel on TV, for which I and millions of fellow subscribers pay. As paying subscribers, we should get to view it on the website or app when this happens. Absolutely beyond excuse to paywall something that should literally be covered by my cable fees.
