of course they CAN, and clottey can stop manny in the 1st round, doesnt make it likely, the general public right now is wary of pacquiao, he is fighting a no named opponent that when people look him up see his last fight was a loss to the man manny just destroyed, but my point was there is no real way to prove a sell out, of course it will be announced as a sell out but no one knows how many of those tickets were purchased by top rank or comped

I don't know what the **** that has to do with sales of tickets.

Why the hell would Top Rank purchase tickets? To give to the public for free? Lmao

How can 45,000 be "sold out" when the venue fits +100,000?

well if its not a fight the general public is gonna be interested in, it will hurt ticket sales you nit, and top rank would purchase tickets to comp to sponsors and stars and also to inflate there numbers, this is nothing new

no idea, my guess would be that with the rafters they are putting on the field it will obstruct alot of seats?

Thats stupid, why cant they get 45k in there? They have already sold 35k. Besides, gate numbers go down on record, I'm sure the official live gate attendance record will be pretty accurate.

The fight does 40k minimum, there's usually a rush last week of before the fight anyways, people who leave things to last minute will pop up.

Because its not holding 100k for this fight. The seats have been reconfigured for 45k, the target is 45k, thus if it reaches 45k, its sold out.

ok youre right, it could sell out, i just dont see it happening. and the numbers that are released you can never get a real gauge on, ive been to sporting events before where the paid attendance was announced and it barely looked like half of what was said, teams, promoters ect purchase large sums of the tickets and set them aside, alot of times they will release some of them back on sale as the event gets closer, but i dont think the numbers they release are accurate pertaining to people actually purchasing tickets and attending

If the stadium is configured for 45k, surely there will be empty seats?

Also Jerry Jones has paid Arum 7mil or so to hold the event in his stadium, it is in Jones best interest for it to sell I believe and he has nothing to gain by lying if it didnt...

Good for Pac, good for Boxing. IMO still don't think it's a PPV fight though. HBO card at best.
