I don't understand how Pac gets **** for officially losing to Bradley, and should have lost to Marquez. If both were bull**** decisions, then how can you say you have to go with the judges with bradley, but still give Pac **** for the Marquez fight? If you say you have to go with the official cards then he beat Marquez. If you say you have to go with popular opinion then he beat Bradley. You can't have it both ways.
I'm "okay" with Floyd being #1 still (his cushion is eroding very quickly though) 1. floyd 2. ward (he's dominated all elite talent in his division. most fighters beat one or top guys in a division, then change weight class. Ward has dominated all of the top talent at 168. Now he's got to move up weight to find any legit competition/prove he's the **** and not just some oakland fan-boy. 3. JMM (consistently outclasses opponents, even at the old, old age of 39). 4. Martinez (Like Ward, he's taken on all-comers at 160 and won very convincingly) 5. Pac (getting real tired of hearing about leg-cramps when everyone above this list doesn't get that problem for some reason. And 3 of the 4 people above Pac on this list are older than him) 6. Wlad 7. Donaire 8. Cotto 9. Gamboa 10. Bradley
Marquez is not above Sergio, thats ridiculous. Also on Ward moving up to fight bigger guys, which Sergio has been doing for years. Who is the best light heavyweight?
If Ward wants to prove he's as good as he thinks, then fight the best of divisions at their division. Floyd moves up to 154 to fight the #1. Ward makes Dawson move down to his division (and i know dawson called him out). I would like to see him in a situation where every duck isn't in his favor. I think JMM has fought better competition over the course of his career than Martinez, IMHO. One of the things that annoys me with Martinez is that he's picking on a fighter two divisions beneath him. Floyd/Manny walk around at their fighting weight. Martinez does not walk around at 160; he's heavier than that. Also, I think some of the top fighters at 154 could give him fits: lara, alvarez, cotto, and even trout.
