Fighters with skills like Floyd are not likely candidates for those type of fights

 

I might have Roy above him but can't really disagree with him at #1 either.

Losing only a handful of rounds at that. Being the smaller man a lot of the time. His resume is amazing.

 

how many of those need asterisks next to their names, though? i mean, it says a lot that many still consider corrales to be his finest win. that said, i do think floyd probably deserves the number 1 spot on this list. past 80 years is a totally different story.

While I don't agree he lost to ALL of those guys, he did deserve to lose atleast one of those fights, considering how many other elites were atleast robbed once in their career. And losing to Castillo and even Maidana I think most fans would have been fine with that decision. But everything else you said has truth and its absolutely amazing anyone would consider this guy the best of the past 25 years, just ridiculous. He beats a bunch of tomato cans and washed up elites his last 50% of his fights and this is supposed to be GREAT? Guy finished his cherry pick fighting Berto, who lost 3 of his last 4 fights!!! What is wrong with this world. Floyd must be paying these people off or something.
