Victuals and libations of choice this evening, gents? I'm pounding a 16oz can of Boom Sauce (a fairly high-ABV offering from local brewery Lord Hobo, and the rare IPA that I can actually tolerate) at the moment, will probably crack the next by the second round of this upcoming bout.

Meanwhile the kid touting himself as "Mexicanito" is a years-long resident of Westminster, California.

Ramírez is luring his opponent across the ring with a hiccuping shuffle in reverse, allowing the funky off-center jab of Licona to rope out and miss badly wide or a few inches overhead, helping it do so with a mild sag at the knees, and then reaching in with counter rights while turning Licona. Very unimaginative attacks from Licona, straight forward, not straightening out his jab even as Ramírez proves capable of avoiding it and countering from angles on a regular basis. Licona just following, lunging, missing. Not much landing either way, really.
