"I am willing to help the sport for the future of the sport. I do not want to see anyone cheat or cheat this sport. For that reason I am willing to consider taking blood [tests] as close as 14 days prior to the fight, as long as my opponent does the same, and it is not a lot of blood, just enough to test," Pacquiao is quoted as saying on his official website.

If this fight happens ,I see Mayweather stopping Pac ...if you think Mosley defense was **** ..Pac defense is much worst....he fought a man that threw 10 punches the whole fight and still busted Pac face up ...another Mismatch.

Maybe ESPN caught it late? Because Pac (in numerous other sites) has denied he made those statements. Furthermore, Arum has since reiterated that Pac will refuse to give in to Mayweather's demands

What you need to realize is, that in the Clottey fight (as well as Cotto), Manny allowed some of those shots to get through and give his opponents a bit of success, in an attempt to draw them out of their defence. Manny thrives off people exchanging with him.

He said it and then it pissed Arum and all of Manny's business people off so they retracted it.

Respect to Pacquiao and hopefully he is firm and tells Arum and those schmucks to agree to the random blood testing up-to 14 days before the fight. Floyd will have to agree to this and we'll get to see it.

Dude, I don't think Arum is forcing Pac to stick the 24 day agreement. It's Pac himself who genuinely doesn't want it so close to the fight. I think Floyd should meet them halfway, and accept the 24 day cut off.

Why do you care so much on what they agree to? Manydifferent people are reporting that Manny is willing to do 14 days and as long as we see the fight, who really cares? 14 days is meeting in the middle and Pac took a blood test 14 days before Clottey and he looked fine to me.

Pac's negotiators are pissed because Manny just publically lowered his stance making 14 days the starting point now.

Why does there have to be a cut off? Mosley didn't ask for one. You can be rest assured that if there is a 14 day cut off, your ass will get tested on that 14th day.

At this point, I'm starting to wish they'd both retire.

Why do I care on what they agree to? I honestly believe these excessive tests will mess Pac up mentally in the lead up to the fight. Everyone knows he's a supersticious guy, and that these sort of things will have a negative impact on him; hence the reason why Team Floyd have been so agressive in their campaign. I'd prefer it both guys were 100% for the fight; thus removing any excuses for a loss.

As for the people reporting Pac's agreement to the 14 day cut off, I'll repeat myself again, these statements have been denied. Check the reports!

As for the giving blood 14 days before the Clottey fight, I wasn't aware of this. How much blood did he give? Was this random? How many blood tests were there? Was this just a one off for different purposes?
