This is what Tua at any period vs. Fa would look like. Not Sure Fa even bests Cameron

Nah, Shane The Mountain Warrior was legitimately better than any version of Fa that I've seen.

What round was the KD in? I saw most of the fight but missed the KD, and yes Fa is terrible and I am a Kiwi. He's about Shane Cameron level at best.

Idk, check the comments on the FB video; it was mentioned in passing. One person asked "has Junior been knocked down tonight" and the next person replied "yes once" :nusenuse:

Or if you have time I guess just watch the whole thing until you find it.

The only American heavyweight that I can think of that is this routinely out of shape and mediocre looking but still gets to headline small hall shows and make undercard/walkout bout appearances on big ones, is Darmani Rock.

In a perverse way, I'd kind of like to see Fa vs. Rock, just to see which of them can step up to "(barely) not a complete and utter fraud" level..

and???? I know people hate the guy cause of his attitude. . I'm not high on Teafino but making a comment about his potential match with Commey, if Teafino gets past his next opponent. No need to get but hurt. All I know is neither Loma nor Haney are fighting him any time soon

Yeah I'll watch it again if I need some sleep haha, but the scorecards suggest that there was a KD. I get sick of the Parker v Fa talk in this country by casuals and our media who know nothing about the sport. I think this version of Alex Leapai could beat him.

Can we get an honest scoring assessment of this Fa fight? He got knocked down and seemingly won all the other rounds on the cards. Is this remotely accurate or the typical boxing BS?

Guys, don't you think Arslanbek Makhmudov might be overrated by some people on this board? He looked absolutely awful against Junior Fa in WSB. Yes, he has shown progress since then but... He wasn't that good in the amateurs. Number 4 in Russian boxing team after Omarov, Kuzmin and Babanin, neither of whom is/was great. Aside of having good size, strength and excellent power I don't see anything in this guy. His feet are slow, his technique is average at best and his defense is almost non-existant.

Didn't he look rather oafish and clumsy against Jonathan Rice last month?

Just watched it again and the KD was at the start of round 4 which I didn't see live. It was 99-91 live from what I saw but with the KD I had it 98-91. Certainly no robbery and apart from round 4, Guinn just did his usual.

The fight reminded me of Hughie Fury v Parker with Rice skipping around off the back foot making Makhmudov miss a lot without ever starting any attacks of his own. The stoppage in that fight was poor but the ref probably had enough by that point haha.

Fa doesn't possess anything past the boxing basics. He looked good against an unmotivated Ouatah last time out; but whenever someone comes with a desire and some good movement, fundamentals then be looks bang average. Kiwi domestic gatekeepers push him to his limit. It's too late now but he needed someone to instill some beyond-basic skills, instead he's hanging out at a kickboxing gym training. Probably lifting weights instead of studying the sweet science. I had one eye on Fa for a bit; but can't get excited anymore tbh. He'd struggle against a motivated Big Daddy

His power and physical strength are otherworldly. He had a hard time cutting the ring off on Rice but whenever he landed even glancing blows he did a lot of damage to a guy who had never been hurt or stopped before. Rice also tends to stand his ground and counter and he ran from Makhmudov from the opening bell. I have a hard time seeing him losing to anyone who tries to stand their ground and trade with him, but at the same time I could totally see him getting boxed by a good mover.
