Well so far it sounds like Murata pretty much gifted Brant the 1st 4 rounds. I know very little about Brant.

    Round 7 Murata 10-9

Solid Murata round, he had Brant hurt and along the ropes, ripped his body, cracked him with the jab non stop, a few uppercuts, Brant recovered, and landed seveal shots late, but it wasn't enough to edge it back in his direction.

Yeah, that's pretty much Murata's stratefgy, he was baking on Brant gassing. As far as Rob goes... Brant's a very solid fighter, I was actually thinking about picking him for this match, since Murata has a tendency to square up and not let his hands go enough, and fights basically nothing like Braehmer, who'd give Murata a shitton of issues as well. Brant's a heavy handed guy with real KO power and fast hands, enough to do some damage if you stand in front of him like a goober, and that's what Murata has done far too much of.

    Round 10 Brant 10-9
    Round 11 Brant 10-9
    Round 12 Murata 10-9

This round was a close to even as they get, Murata had his head flown several times by Brant after being strafes by straight rights, but Ryota still managed to edge it with the more consistent work, that wasn't quite as eye catching.

    115-113 Brant

    116-112 is fine as well.

Well deserved win by Brant, he showed up with a hell of a game plan and Murata had a monumentally dumb one of letting Brant punch himself out, well... he didn't. That being said the official judges are ****ing ghouls and they can all suck a goat's anus, those scorecards were a ****ing abomination.

Very well deserved. Im not sure i would of scored it as close as you did. Like i said i dont know much about Brant really. Was Murata exposed or was Murata not himsef? He really did just give those early rounds away so cheap and easy with his stupid smile but was getting punched at will. It evened out as the fight went on but he never took over. Brant made sure he was doing enough to have an argument for winning rounds throughout.

Murata has always been a tad bit limited, but Brant, while I like him, has never shown this many wrinkles in his game. That being said, I was expecting someone to expose Murata eventually, but I figured he'd be good enough to squeak past Brant. But... I guess not.

The fact is, Canelo, Saunders, Golovkin all three wreck both Brant and Murata, they both showed they had damn good chins, but close to no defense, the only difference was output. Murata's usual low output economical style really backfired on him tonight against Brant. Quite frankly I'm not sure either of them get past Lemieux.

I was never fully sold on Murata, he seemed abit too one paced. I never expected Brant to pull off the upset though, congrats to him for coming back from that Braehmer set back.

I think upon reflection that there at least couple more rounds on my card that could easily have swung to Brant, and I'll probably have a wider scorecard when I watch it again. But there were at least three rounds that I feel pretty comfortable giving Murata, so those cards still feel a bit wide.
