I call this innovation never happen before I think he is too demanding as a trainer a good reason for failing with few good prospects.
Why do people **** on Atlas? I could really careless who announces the fight. I tune in to watch a fight not announcing. Thread maker do you tune in to hear Atlas talk or to watch two boxers fight?
His Scorecard for Bailey-Urango was a total CRAP! a 10-10 round... and 10-8 round after Bailey KD 2 Times or 3?
personaly i would rather have a knowlagable commentater with "anoying" tendencies then a super charasmatic smooth voice fast talker who knows **** about boxing
Like his partner tonight, although I'll give it to the guy, he did a good job of faking boxing knowledge. I was pissed there was no Tessitore... College football game or maybe a big horse race tomorrow???
I vote fire the dumbass , the only thing Teddy is worse at than fight commentary is fight predicting. and not to start any rumours, but the apple doesnt fall far from the tree!!! that's right I want a dna test, I believe I know who Max's dad is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I disagree with Atlus time to time, but I like his commentary. He was giving way too much praise for Woods, Atlus just needs to be truthful.
I hope they keep the new commentator, he was soo much better than that smarmy ass Joe Tessitorre. I'm just disappointed my boy BK wasn't in the studio.
I don't mind Teddy that much, though I think his "keys to the fight" are usually stupid and, in many cases, probably based on seeing a few rounds of a fighter or, more likely, just talking to his trainer. In other words, mean next to nothing. His biases can be irritating, but it makes him "colourful" (that's life on tv); the big problem is that his biases affect how he scores a fight - he's a lousy judge. What also bothers me are his attempts to look "smart" - he uses words he doesn't know the meaning of, mixes his metaphors terribly and stretches analogies to painful points. Some may find that entertaining in an almost self-mocking way, but it just gives me the impression he's full of himself when he has no right to be.
This is an age old problem for TV execs hiring non professionals to do broadcasts.Although knowledgeable in their chosen sport, they always tend to be repetitive and rough around the edges.Rarely,if ever,do these ex athletes have the educational background nor language expertise to get their thoughts across in an "entertaining" way. A third "talking head" is usually the answer, preferably a sports writer who has the advantage of being a wordsmith as well as having an educational background in journalism school.:deal
