So I was being an idiot earlier in the thread was I.... but not anymore then? so we're both sweet now the yeah mate?:good:lol::lol:

I agree that UFC is much better run than Boxing is but let me also say that 30,000 PPV figure was a complete lie by K2 fuled by tyring to publicly disregarding Haye's financial imput to the fight.

May I also add that Wladamir said he was there that night and also went on to say Haye only git 6,000 fans there that night.... yet Vitali was there that night as I was there and I could see exactly where he was sitting but Wladamir wasn't! There was well over 6,000 people there that night trust me! anyway, I;ve gone off the beat and track with this a bit now....

Ben, you were the one that threw out ridiculous points and claimed them as facts.

Boxing beats UFC on PPV= rubbish
No MMA fighter has earned more than half a million= rubbish

The last UFC show at the O2 drew more people than Haye-Barrett even though Haye-Barrett did the special offer on tickets and the UFC show had such a weak main event in terms of star power that they put the show on free TV instead of PPV.

ITV and BBC aren't interested in UFC, that is true but Channel 5 have made a bid along with Bravo, Virgin and ESPN. They have taken the ESPN deal for the main shows but the Ultimate Fighter is going to be on another channel.

Yep I thought your early post was daft but you made more sense later on.

I meant the 30,000 for the Khan fight. Not sure if it is accurate but it has been written before. I doubt the UFC would get half that if they went ppv over here.

I just think that ESPN will take time in making deals with boxing where as the UFC deal is a no brainer.

Haye vs Barret was ****ed up because of the tarded ticket price.

the Khan fight made at least 100,000 which isn't that great anyway, just that K2 can't be trusted. I get your point though.

UFC is getting very popular in the UK and im very pleased ESPN have picked up the rights so we can watch all the events for free. But i wonder how long it will take before the events start up on PPV? Another 1-2 years maybe?

So popular that according to the UFC web page it is now as popular as football and rugby :patsch
I think UFC is still behind Boxing in this country but due to the way it is run and marketed it won't be long before it overtakes boxing.

Bisping draws in alot of uk fans. He's the only 'top' british fighter in the ufc and not everyone can watch all the events for free.

thats my point, there aren't any decent uk fighters, bisping is the best thing thats why he is payed so much. he's the face of the ufc for the uk. UFC might get bigger than boxing in america but not in the uk. You need alot more uk fighters first of all. Enzo might replace bisping soon. lol

Sadly yes I am not much of a fan of UFC but boxing is a shambles and is hard to follow whereseas UFC is a lot easier to follow and a lot better run and marketed. The only thing that will prevent that is if boxing goes back on the mainstram channels (ITV, BBC) and more British stars come through.

UFC doesnt simply need more british fighters to increase its popularity in this country. I for one dont give 2 shits about bisping and rly dont care where a fighter is from. If they are a good crowd pleasing fighters people will follow them and become fans of the sport.

MMA is still young (15 or so years old)..whereas boxing has been on the go for over a 100 years. So its unfair to compare atm but it wouldnt surprise me if MMA overtook boxing in the next 2-3 years.

May take over boxing, give it 10 years when the UK produces someone truly world class. Then its possible.
