And this early, ESPN’s sportscasters have already given their two cents on what would happen should the Mayweather-Pacquiao duel finally materialize.

Both Skip Bayless and Rob Parker contended that the speedy, hard-hitting Pacquiao, being at his prime, would prevail over Mayweather Jr.

“Mayweather might be able to run and duck for eight to 10 rounds. He might be able to play some pretty good defense a while but at some point, I think Mayweather will get punished and I think he will go down," Bayless said during ESPN’s 1st and 10 program. “I think he’s (Mayweather) got no shot against this guy (Pacquiao) coming off the long retirement."

Parker, for his part, said: “Pacquiao is a special guy (with all his skills) and Mayweather can’t beat him at this point."

    Obviously, I agree 110% w/ the two sportscasters. :D:good

Personally, it's all good as far as I'm concerned. Whatever makes the fight happen.

This has been reported on here before Captain SlowInTheBrain. And those two morons have about as much combined boxing knowledge as you do so their opinions mean nothing.

    I think it's a 60% - 40% fight in favor of Floyd. But I don't know how he'll perform after the 2 year layoff.

Such general analysis of the fights. Always with the running. I don't like Mayweather, but Mayweather doesn't really run. He does look funny when he dodges punches though, like he's terrified, like every punch thrown at him is gonna kill him. Which is actually good, takes discipline (and no he's not terrified, I know...). I want Pac to win, but no surprise if Mayweather beats him.

ESPN sportscasters are jokes and idiots. They should stick to Basketball and Baseball. They know nothing about boxing and there opinions are just opinions based on the publics opinion. I do know that people are overrating the win of Pacman over Hatton. It was a good win, but if anyone things that win shows he can beat Mayweather it is not true. I am not a great fan of Floyd, but he is fast and strong, which is what will beat Pacman. Being Hatton did not show he can beat Mayweather. These guys at ESPN do not know enough boxing to know styles of fighting.

A buddy of mine that works at a sports radio show out here in vegas knows skip. He told me that skip doesn't even believe half the **** he says. He does for the purpose of arguing....

Mayweather also believes that Pac would beat him, that's why he will not fight Pac for any amount of money.

Mayweather has been inactive - this is not at all an unreasonable suggestion. Given that Floyd is coming off a significant period of inactivity and Pacquiao looks to be at the top his game, this is the way I'd call it too. Frankly, I think Marquez has a decent shot of beating him.
