You can't blame Roach for covering for his fighter but it's clear from this why the fight fell through, Roach has said himself that he didn't want the blood test too close to the fight as has mentioned a 5 day window as being acceptable so to turn down a 14 day window and go straight off to fight Clottey indicate they were happy to walk away from the fight.

I don't see Mosley as a tune up either.

 

Roach should stop speaking in public for manny. Too many contradictions.
But now we know there's another reason why manny doesn't want blood tests less than 24 days from the fight other than this "afraid to give blood" thing, it probably isn't drugs, but there's definitely a reason.

 

Wow, I am surprised by the comments in this thread. Some people are finally realizing where all the "smokescreens" and excuses were coming from. I wish Rome had his information straight and grilled Roach about the 14 days. Each time Freddie opens his mouth he makes Pacquiao look worse.

That was embarrassing. I had to stop watching that. I feel sorry for Roach. He has to be the good soldier and cover up for Pacquiao's lies. Now Manny is afraid of needles, and Mayweather only made the request so that he could get a "tuneup" fight against Shane Mosley. Meanwhile, Pacquiao took on a legit fight against a guy coming off a loss who has never won anything more in his career than a paper title . That's ridiculous. I just hope all this nonsense gets straigtened out, provided that Mayweather beats Mosley.
