http://news.sky.com/skynews/Home/Bu...etanta-Collapse/Article/200907115331308?f=rss Espn are to launch there sports channel on August 3rd. There will be 1 HD channel and 1 standard channel. It will cost £9 a month for sky sports subscribers and £12 a month for all others.
It better come free like setanta did with an XL package from Virgin, because £12 a month for one channel is a complete rip off.
Lynne Frank of ESPN Europe said: "We hope football and sports fans will enjoy ESPN's compelling mix of Barclays Premier League football, international sports and the best of the US sports in both SD and HD." From 3 August, the new channel will offer top-flight football alongside international sports and a wide-range of premium US sports previously provided on ESPN America, which will be integrated in the UK into the new channel.
unless they're gonna televise some sweet science (domestic and more importantly overseas cards) then i won't be subcribing either, we'll just have to wait and see, i do feel ESPN are our best hope though
****s. I really enjoy ESPN America. They better not rip the heart outta the channel in order to try and prop up ESPN.
Surely they've got release more details of schedules if they expect people to stump up for this in a couple of weeks?
depends what they mean by "international sports" to me it doesn't sound good, its basically gonna be that baseball channel (ESPN america) mixed in with a bit of football.
