I just read that ESPN will be the US Partner for this World Heavyweight title fight...Is this a step in the right directon or what..Im very pumped to see this! "RTL will broadcast the fight on March 21st live in Germany. Also Klitschko spokesman Bernd Bönte revealed that ESPN will be the US TV partner for the world heavyweight championship. Tickets are on sale in a range from 50,- to 600,- Euros."
yep. Thank the Klitschkos for that... tired of the Showtime and HBO bull****. Maybe a taste of more to come. Its nice to see a fight on ESPN which everyone has compared to the 59.99 PPV bull**** :happy:happy
I hope it does to but this really says alot about ESPN my respect for them just went up ten fold. Props to them for sure
I wonder how ESPN got this fight before HBO I doubt HBO would have made this PPV but possibly so since they aren't covering it.
HBO are pissing on Vitali, they think he ain't got it anymore after the layoff and promote his brother.
From Dan Rafael It is great for boxing that the heavyweight title bout between Vitali Klitschko and Juan Carlos Gomez will be televised live on ESPN on March 21. And that's the big network. The Uno. Not ESPN2 or ESPN Classic. To make a fight of that significance available on basic cable, rather than the more limited availability of HBO (or even more limited availability of Showtime), is great for the sport. Now, just two wishes: (1) That it be an entertaining bout, and (2) ESPN gets behind it a little bit and makes sure viewers know it's on. Fingers crossed. so there it is ESPN UNO they will promote this and if its a exciting fight boxing will be one step closer to being mainstream than anytime in the last 10 yrs..still alot of work but pumped to see this step taken
yeah this is great news, and very huge for the sport. hopefully the Vitali fight does good ratings so the cable networks (ESPN) can show more boxing in the future.
Great for the heavyweight division. Yes. I hope the fight is entertaining and people are caught up in it, in order to draw the casual sports fans back in to the heavyweight division. Great move on ESPN's part. GO, VITALI!
