ESPN: Vasyl Lomachenko vs. Jose Pedraza & Isaac Dogboe vs. Emanuel Navarette RBR.

Can't believe some are giving Loma grief for this fight.

1. Pedraza is a really good fighter and a 2 weight world champion who was only been bested once, by a beast in Twink who is highly skilled, lightening quick, and hits like a truck and Pedraza fought like a goddamn moron in that fight (as I and others said at the time in the RBR). He's actually very skilful but he completely abandoned them in that fight and played right into Twink's hands.

2. He holds wins over Tevin Famer (via stoppage) Beltran, and decent fighters in Edner Cherry, Andrey Klimov, and Stephen Smith among others. Pedraza was also a really good amateur too. How good? Good enough to win silver at the World Amateur Championships and beat the only man to defeat Loma in the amateurs in Selimov who won gold, silver, and bronze medals at the World Amateur Championships and gold at the Europeans x 2.

3. It's a unification fight

4. Pedraza is really tough and durable, if you doubt that go watch the Twink fight again, a fight in which as I said Pedraza fought like a moron. He kept walking into heavy shot after heavy shot and he took a ton of them before he inevitably wilted in the 7th. Won't be surprised if Pedraza has a weight advantage over Loma tonight either.

5. And last but by no means least. Loma is coming off a very serious shoulder injury and surgery to repair it and he's jumping right back into a unification match up against a talented once beaten fighter and 2 weight champion in his first fight back for goodness sake

Pedraza is a very tough opponent for anyone coming off a very serious career threatening shoulder injury and if Loma re-injures his shoulder again tonight (which is a distinct possibility) it becomes a much more difficult one. He's a tough opponent. Period.
