Right now it's ESPN 2. God knows if it's switching later to ESPN.

Ugh, commercials, Stephen A. Smith, that score scroll. Are we sure this boxing on commercial TV thing is a good idea?

There was a time I thought Vásquez and Gabriel had a chance to become the historic first ever spousal couple to hold world titles in the sport. Then within three months they both suffered their first losses by KO (at the hands of Takashi Uchiyama and Oxandia Castillo, no great shame in either case). She actually did go on to scoop up a belt in her next outing, however, and is 4-0 since, all for world titles, and is the current unified champ at 154lbs. Vásquez, though, about to be on the wrong side of 30 and with the wrong kind of style to have longevity in the lower weights... probably never sniffing another title match and if he does has no prayer of getting the gold unless he lands an incredibly weak paper champ..

You may as well be rooting for him to waltz into a kindergarten and kick some toddler in his teeth and steal his juice box. Ray's hardly an underdog here tonight, is he?

It must be disheartening for Vasquez seeing him landing clean hooks and Beltran walking forward like nothing happened.

Considering the size difference and that Vasquez is there to be hit Beltran isn't looking that impressive.

    Round 1 Vasquez 10-9 Close
    Round 2 Beltran 10-9
    Round 3 Beltran 10-9 Close
    Round 4 Beltran 10-9
    Round 5 Beltran 10-9

Vasquez frustrating the hell out of Beltran, throwing out a lot of pitty pat feints and flurries, Beltran lands a bomb invalidating everything that Vasquez lands.

This is basically like what it would be like watching the weight-draining & boomerang-rehydrating middleweight version of JCC Jr. beating up the 'middleweight king' version of Cotto. Of course it would end badly for Junito and of course there would be Jr. fans whooping it up like he accomplished something other than simply being a lot bigger than a clearly more skilled operator.
