Dude, shut up, I actually like Crawford. I'm not the kind of disingenuous fan that will defend anybody that a boxer I happen to be a fan of takes on, though. (major side-eye being thrown @ you rn)

I'm not that mad at Crawford about taking on Indongo, the guy has belts and is an easy night's work on the big stage, has a nice record (on paper) and is stylistically made to order, Crawford will gobble him up and look a beast, it makes dollars and sense. I just wish Crawford at this point was getting challenged more, precisely because I am in fact a (real) fan of his. Indongo as far as Crawford's development is a stagnant waste of time. It will be incredibly one-sided. Indongo is a flukey one-hit wonder that happened to register a second minor "hit". He isn't elite, he's just outer fringe of world class. Crawford is mega-elite, and the difference will show when they meet in the ring.

When did you ever see me say Crawford was ducking Troyanovsky? Fact: you didn't. If that match-up was ever mentioned on here and I commented on it, you can bet your ass I said Troyanovsky would be KTFO by Crawford. Go. Look it up.

    The showboating turned me off.

To stand in front of Joe Frazier and drop your hands and do the shuffle like Ali against an elite opponent who can do something about it takes huge minerals. To do it against someone you completely outclass is classless.

And what's with all the patty-cake punches? He doesn't excite me.

This is actually true, why does everyone think he was so beastly after 2 wins over Cuenca (Whose career consisted of padding over bums in Argentina, and Ik Yang. Holy ****.

Sure. That's why you've been nuthugging loma all night right? :risas3: Stop it.

Don't know why you're trying to change the narrative. It could be an easy night work, but in your debate with that other guy, you were completely trashing Indongo and implying that it's basically the same thing as fighting a Marriaga. Which it's not. Marriaga is coming off a loss and moving up in weight. Even if he was not moving up in weight, we know that momentum and confidence is a HUGE part of boxing.

    Loma is Mayweather's worst nightmare

A guy with a dynamic offense that doesn't depend on his power is the total opposite to what Mayweather made his career against.

Gary Russel Jr's speed is way more of a nightmare than whatever Corrales provided. And Loma dominated GRJ in his 3rd pro fight.

Huh? Marriaga's better overall I think, but he's better because of his defence and boxing skill. I accept considering Indongo's opposition we can't really know how hard a puncher he is. He'll open up more against Crawford than Marriaga did tonight, I'll give him that. Marriaga's world-class, but onlike Sosa he only tried to survive tonight.

I don't think much of Indongo, but in comparison with Marriaga, I highlighted the important words there.

A lot of people were calling Troyanovsky a hypejob, due to his iffy performances against some mediocre opponents in Russia. The signs have been there for a while for anyone who has followed his career. Though I never really cared about him to label him either way.

Burns was a really average world champ in his prime, one of the weakest in boxing IMO, a shot version of him is hardly even a noteworthy win.

Good on Lomo. He won every round, got the stoppage, and took minimal damage.

I will say, he missed more tonight than recently and dare I say got hit at a higher rate too.

Stepped on feet too intentionally too much but other than that there's nothing negative to say.

I think he should stay at 130 for a couple years and not be considering 140 like most people point out. That's where you have to go before you can find someone to pick over him, but that's not Lomo's fault.

Yep. Whatever Indongo's overall ability, he's Crawford's size, and with his style he's going to press the fight and take chances, and we can't say that about Marriaga.
