Falcão is pouring it on now, jumping forth with a Roy Jones style gazelle hook (except lefty) and clipping Gonzo just above the ear with it, above his glove, sending him into a hurried retreat. Gonzo now tying up a bit, walloping Falcão weakly across the sides with underhanded pinball machine paddles. Falcão is working uppercuts ambidextrously on the inside, looking perhaps for a finish, but he didn't invest enough in the previous seven to get it. Gonzo isn't going to collapse from any single blow of Falcão's, that's clear now. Accumulation might have done it but Falcão was far too patient for whatever reason.

It was, sadly.

Usually with either Falcão or Gonzo you can bet on some decent entertainment but in this case it was a case of "their styles could have meshed well had they each been up for this and planning to actually face each other and motivated by actually being televised or with something meaningful on the line", but on the night, eh, it landed flat.

 

Hmm. I could go for a hard boiled egg right now.
