I like Victor, but why is he lying? He knows damn well he didn't say he was going to be the first to beat Mayweather when he was 9 years old. Mayweather was in his first year as a pro when Victor was 9. No 9 year old is dreaming about beating a prospect.
ortiz does that a lot, he's a pathological liar. its hard to call him out for that on here because of his 'good guy' image. you'll get verbally jumped here.
Leave Ortiz alone, hater. He's a good guy. He's also a young lion that's the best welterweight in the world, and an extremely tough, risky opponent for Floyd Mayweather Junior.
He just didn't put his words together correctly. When he said: "Back when I was 9 years old, I always said to myself I would be the welterweight champion of the world, and when that day came around, I'd be the first to fight Floyd Mayweather and give him his first defeat" What he meant to say was that ever since he was 9 years old he wanted to become the welterweight champion. And then when he became champ, he believed he'd be the first to beat Mayweather. The prediction at the age of 9 was just to win a world title.
Ortiz doesnt seem that smart and a little nervous, I hope he doesnt respect floyd to much during their fight, just go into beast mode again. He probably meant 19 years old that would have made more sense.
Oh, and that video right there shows just how clueless Victor's going to be in the ring. The fight's been announced for a while now, and he still hasn't given any thought to how he could fight Floyd? Very likeable guy, but he's just too naive for this one. Boy's gonna recieve one hell of a schooling.
