The commentators mentioned earlier that Zaurbek could face Roach or at least aim for the WBA rankings. He just won some random IBF trinket, and apparently he will ranked number two. Him against the winner of Nunez-Rikiishi would be interesting. He is certainly a player in the division.

Yeah that's what I'm thinking too. Feels like a more likely opponent for Batyrgaziev (who I'm sure will be elevated soon) is Leigh Wood if he wins the Cacace fight.

 

Both Alimkhanuly and Ngamissengue competed at the Rio Games. In fact they could have fought had Anauel been victorious in his first fight. Zhanibek should smash this dude. And hopefully quickly cause I want to see the Joyce-Hrgovic card.

Ngammissengue has barely fought at the MW limit recently, but here we are. The unbeaten Congolese-Frenchman is somehow top 15 in both organizations (IBF #7 and WBO #13).

The southpaw champ is 16-0 with 11 kayos, and stands 5′ 11½″. The orthodox challenger is 14-0 with 9 kayos, and stands 5′ 9½″. Ngamissengue is two years Alimkhanuly's junior, and has been a pro three years less.

 

There are a couple more fights on that card so shouldn't be a problem seeing both main events.
