Negrete is opening up with jabs and overhand rights, then working left hooks downstairs, then letting Negrete have a turn. Negrete is firing the same types of combos, backing Franco up. A few more uppercuts in the arsenal of Negrete. Franco really favoring those big triangular rights from above off the jab, and left hooks reaching for the liver. Negrete is cracking Franco with right hands across the left cheek in the exchanges while falling away to his own left in front of his opponent. Negrete is covering up as Franco opens up with flurries. Big hacking left hooks by Franco walking forward, but hitting guard. 1-2 by Negrete backing Franco up to get some breathing room off the ropes. They both flurry together and Negrete tosses some check jabs into both of Franco's gloves to abort shots as they're leaving the hangar.

Negrete is staying close, pressuring behind a flick-jab between the wrists, making Franco blink, then working uppercuts to his chest and bashing down with right hands while crowding him, up on his toes, back arched. Franco is getting drawn into a protracted close-quarters brawl, and throwing & landed decidedly less, although he is able to get solid purchase on his two-handed body-hooking combos when he squats and tilts his weight forward. Big flurry by Franco while spiraling counterclockwise, and their heads come together. Both warned by the ref. Negrete shooting jabs and crosses between the forearms in repetition, medium power, and then stepping in and fully spreading the guard with big uppercuts. Franco is flurrying, catching Negrete on the sides of the head.

Negrete is scooting inside behind stiff jab and chopping right combos, heads clashing when he does as Franco is already bent in toward him with his face lowered into the line of fire. Franco is jumping in and plugging hooks into the sides of Negrete. Right hand and left hook combos by Negrete lurching forward now, hitting the guard. Franco is stepping out, planting his feet wide and working jabs and smashing downward rights. 1-2-3 flush on the chin by Franco as Negrete is pumping his way in with straights.
