That was the ref I think. He was annoyed because Caraballo's team kept whining about low blows. He was saying "those were sliding off his arm down and then away, they weren't f'kn low blows..."

    Round 1

Caraballo is dominating with the southpaw jab, cue-balling Rivas' left glove into his face and squashing it there fixed in place while Caraballo drops in lefts on the body. Caraballo is taking his time, picking his spots and throwing one & done as very little comes in return from Rivas, just whirling in place and maintaining a high shell.

    10-9 Caraballo

Ah that makes much more sense. I was confused as it seemed out of Bernardo Osuna’s character to do so

    Round 2

Caraballo is throwing away jabs up top, skimming the hairline or missing high, but then plugging lefts below the elbows of Rivas. A few right hand leads tossed up by Rivas now, but he can't reach the lankier & faster-moving/reflexively sharper Caraballo. Their ankles get interlocked on the inside as Caraballo is digging a right jab to his stomach and Rivas goes down. Ruled a knockdown. They scrap in close for the remainder, with Rivas leaning his forearms against Caraballo and grinding in on him.

    10-8 Caraballo

    20-17 Caraballo

Puerto Rican prospect not exactly setting the world afire here, with a ready-made walking punch bag from Mexico.

Going to be a stoppage or dominant extra-points shutout I'm sure, but he coasts a little too much, admires his own work, and gets hit with some nonsense during his lazy periods.

You're talking about HOF fighters and ATGs. I think this kid is being fast tracked too quickly. I like what I see and don't want to see it ruined.

Must be always on time with his ringing and never let a round run late or finish early. The GOAT bell ringer :campeon:

    Round 3

Caraballo is jabbing apart the guard of Rivas and now starts to step through and clap down upon him with short overhand lefts, bringing the furthest edge of his own frame in to bear for extra oomph. Rivas is showing bravado, dropping his arms now and then after getting clocked, occasionally managing to duck and swoop under a combination and grinning as if he just reinvented the slickness wheel before immediately tying up - but he's just here to get beat up & collect a check, that much is clear.

    10-9 Caraballo

    30-26 Caraballo

    Round 4

Caraballo is pushing his jab straight out from the socket into Rivas' nose, following up with some left crosses down the pipe but mostly with underhanded nicks & scratches on the belly. Rivas is doing a little showboating wiggle, arms out, abs gyrating mockingly. Rivas peeling a defensive jab out & up toward Caraballo's face while backing into the ropes. Bloody nose, swelling on the right cheek and cut on the mouth of Rivas, all from punches as per the ref. Caraballo working left uppercuts from mid-range until Rivas wends his way into a clinch. Rivas finishes the round under fire against the ropes adopting something resembling a very awkward interpretation of a Philly shell.

    10-9 Caraballo

    40-35 Caraballo

Well, Lampley got in for talking about it. I think several people got in for writing about it. There might even be a guy who creates art about it. http://www.sloneart.com/portal/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=86&Itemid=112 (Although, I was thinking of a sculptor who makes statues of famous boxers. Carl Levotch, Pennsylvania Boxing Hall of Famer. Check this link out with pictures of boxing statues, stuff like Les Darcy, Joey Giardello, and Johnny Famechon are his https://www.johnnyfamechonstatue.com/statues-of-boxers.html )

Refs and judges get in. Smoger is HOF. Why not let a time keeper in, I guess?

Because, idk, that's a WAY less important job than all the rest of those?

I mean, a necessary job and I guess consistency is admirable...but I mean... Nobody has a "favorite timekeeper".

    Round 5

Caraballo is jabbing Rivas into the corners and then letting piston combos fly at long range. Most of them are whizzing over the spine as Rivas executes timely bows forward or to one side. Caraballo being forced to land a lot more rabbit punches than regular head blows. Either way, nothing of any significance from the Mexican clown prince of this match-up. All his energy is being spent on making Caraballo look amateurish where he can, and clinching.

    10-9 Caraballo

    50-44 Caraballo
