Valdez has finally wizened up his act, swallowing his pride (along with a pint of blood per minute, with his mouth bleeding profusely, trickling around his gum shield and rimming his lips in a homemade Dracula mask) and fighting more negatively. Quigg consequently landing less, with Valdez no longer lingering in front of him giving him opportunities. Pot shot flurries high and low by Valdez, running & ducking as Quigg overreaches with hooks @ the body and only grazes.

That's fair, I've given him rounds reluctantly as his work isn't exactly of first-water quality, but IMO he was effective enough in three of the first six to have Valdez dizzied and confused (with a mixture of legal blows and fouls)

 

Round 8

Valdez is hooking the body and twinkle-toeing around Quigg rapidly. Jabs and straight flurries at the face by Valdez, never setting his feet. Quigg plods forward and bides his time, winging a huge chopping right behind a jab when Valdez is skirting the ropes. Usually this results in bad misses but a few times Quigg nicks him and even those visibly hurt Valdez. When hurt, Valdez just grits his teeth and flies bodily at Quigg, flurrying in short bursts and then begrudgingly running again.
