Valdez is staying in front of Quigg just long enough to pop off a shoeshine volley and then dipping and strafing. Quigg unable to get a bead on him with the slow lumpy jab, so he tries falling in with hooks and clubbing overhands - and that's no good, as Valdez has found a second wind and some quick feet. HUGE flurry by Valdez, powerless but ultra-fast, making Quigg freeze like a deer in the headlights and just eat light straight shots to his face for a full 20 seconds or so. Valdez circles and whacks the body for a while then makes a MASSIVE MISTAKE! VALDEZ HOOKS WITH QUIGG IN THE POCKET AND IS ROCKED!!! ANOTHER HOOK BY QUIGG! Valdez very hurt. Low blow by Quigg, the moron, why would he do that right when he had Valdez ready to go? Valdez milks it as Lou Moret gives him time to recover. Time in. BIG LEFT HOOK BY VALDEZ, HOLY ****, QUIGG IS HURT, LEGS SHAKY! RIGHT HAND BY VALDEZ.

Miracle if nobody goes down. They were both half-conscious at different points in the eleventh.

Round 12

Valdez is stepping in and hooking Quigg in the face, and oddly enough Quigg is no longer keen to swap hooks with him after that experience before the bell. Valdez able to pump light body shots while hunkered inside and then push off Quigg and flee before he can mount any slow clubbing shots in reply. Quigg doing very little to set up anything effective. Awkward clinch attempt by Quigg, almost cartoonish, grabbing at Valdez with both hands but unable to close them around him as Valdez just sashays through his grasp. Body shots by Valdez. Quigg launches himself after the warning ten-second clap with a couple of power punches flying forward but not able to land the big one.
