People don't understand how boxing is scored, that's why they don't understand that 98-92 isn't actually a bad score for this fight. Well, it's not a great score.. but it's actually defendable.

You can have a shutout in a close fight, or you can have it be a draw. There were very few rounds you could call absolute for one guy. It was fight at close range, with very few clinches.. nobody was hurt.. and both answered each other just about punch for punch.

Not a great fight, but enjoyable to watch.

I think a lot of people on ESB just hate Cintron, and were openingly rooting against him.

It is clear though, that Cintron's days of being able to compete at the Elite level is gone.

That was the clearest round for Smith. Just like the 8th was the clearest for Cintron.

Smith won at least four of those rounds. I thought he took the last two cleanly. I'm surprised the ESPN announcers gave Kermit the 9th.

Interesting. I did watch it and I had Carlos Baldomir beating both guys in a close decision.

I thought he did the better work in the 9th.

The part in bold is true as a general statement.

Also, I do openly dislike Cintron and consider him mentally weak.

However, I'm not pro-Smith (and consider him mentally weak as well, since the loss to Tyner).

I didn't have a dog in this fight, and just scored the rounds to the best of my interpretative abilities as they transpired.

For you to insinuate that anybody giving the nod to Smith was doing so without impartiality is a bit unfair. In fact, it's less fair than me saying anyone who scored it for Cintron is the type of scorer who ignores clean body punches :good (and yes, they were both throwing to the body - but Smith's quality was far better...especially in the later rounds).

Yep, let's bring out the ESB card. Nevermind the fact that, Queensbury, BLH and Scene, and I'm sure others, most thought A that it was a bad fight and that Smith won. Close, but clear. A handful thought Cintron nicked it by 96-94, that's acceptable, but anything more than that and it's pretty clear people are sucking Kermit The Frog's dick. Even Ronnie Shields admitted in the 10th round Cintron had to do work, and postfight he said "It was close...I'll take it"

If a trainer is saying that, the other guy won. Smith did win, close, but clear, but this is nothing new. The winning fighter loses.

Hopkins had it for Cintron, many posters here had it for Cintron, all the judges had it for Cintron and not one media outlet has called it a robbery.

ESB is the most robbery happy site I've ever seen. Not every decision you disagree with is a robbery.

Just saw onboxing scenethat Cintron intends to move back to 154 pounds and supposedly had a hard time making weight for Smith.

I have a fight on my Fox Sports right now. Just got home from work so I can't tell yet what/who it is.

Says USTREAM and Goldenboy on the screen timeclock.

    Cant tell if it's live.
