    Long flurries by Hughes, just bruising up the forearms of Gibson and absolutely nothing else. Gibson only throws one power punch in the first minute - a big right hand. It hurts Hughes but he acts macho, sticking his tongue out as he drifts to the ropes. Gibson comes at him with a stiff jab, trying to walk him into a corner. Hughes uses movement and quick flurries with his hands alternating constantly until he's out of range. Gibson tags him with a right hand, partially grazing as Hughes pulls back and bends backward at the waist. Hughes tries to show some slippery inside defense as he lets Gibson walk him down against the ropes. Hughes looks gassed and probably can't get away with this for long. Fortunately for him there is only a minute left. He moves and flurries. Gibson just follows and throws a chopping right hand, his first attack in half a minute. They watch each other intently. Final exchange after the ten second warning clap - just cat-fighting.

    Funny to hear Tessitore acting disgusted about the fighters trash talking after the fight with Hopkins sitting next to him.

    Hopkins was worse after the PAvlik fight.
