Cayo is just letting Peterson outwork him a lot. Cayo has moments where he lets his hands go, but I see them mostly only landing on Peterson's gloves. Peterson doing good work with Cayo on the ropes. Good right hand lands for Cayo. Good left hand to close the round from Peterson.

    79-73 Peterson

round 8 petersons best round of the fight.

He can maintain the same style that's cool but keep his hands up. He wouldn't get hit nearly as much if he didn't do that. There's no advantage to doing that

:patsch If he kept his hands up...it wouldn't be the same style at all...which is largely based...on having your hands DOWN.

    Round 9

Left hook leaping right in by Peterson after the opening bell. Cayo sways like a cobra, hovering in and out of range very precariously. Big shot by Peterson as Cayo's swaying in. Very nice counter jabs by Peterson, using very quick and educated feet to stay away from Cayo's awkward attacks. Cayo tries a fast quadruple left hook but they all hit the back of Peterson's glove. Tie up. Peterson works the body. Bayless keeps having to split them up. They trade but get tangled, nobody landing cleanly. Nice looping right by Cayo. Uppercut while stepping around Peterson, missed. A few nice jabs by Cayo.

    Peterson round overall.

    87-84 Peterson

Peterson opens with good jabs in the 9th. Cayo lets some shots go, but again landing on Peterson's gloves. Peterson starting to be very elusive, while landing shots of his own. As I say that Cayo shot a right hand that landed. Good body work from Peterson. Cayo still letting his hands go, but just not landing enough. Cayo throws a jab flurry. Another Peterson round in my book.

    89-82 Peterson
