Wolak 96-94 is a totally fine card. 97-93 would be way too wide. I think 97-93 Rodriguez is wide too, though 96-94 is completely acceptable. Draw or 96-95 either is also 100% fine. Wolak landed plenty of clean punches, by his nature though he fights so close that they don't look flash and he worked the body a whole lot more.

Instead if we're lucky ESPN will put up a five minute highlight video with that "Ready for a fight" song as the soundtrack. :conf

This fight deserves considerable mention on SportsCenter and an "encore presentation" some time tomorrow when they have poker or talking heads scheduled.

A good "did you see that fight?" on Monday morning is warranted.

Wolak has a bright future in boxing as a gatekeeper. Once he gets his ass kicked by Cotto or Alvarez, he'll be a litmus test for prospects.

Regardless of your individual score, let's bear in mind that Wolak was a huge betting favorite and pegged by most on here to utterly destroy Rodriguez without any need for the judges.

While Pawel showed great heart in overcoming the swollen eye, let's also keep in perspective that Rodriguez was able to survive and adjust to that relentless pressure (without resorting to running or ***** tactics) and managed to finish strong while standing in the trenches with the guy who was supposed to eat him alive.

Wolak was rightfully the favorite because of the size disparity (in past fights) and he's coming off the win while Rodriguez is better than he clearly is. At 6'0 though he moved up nicely to 154. Both of these guys improved in my mind.

Wolak might beat Lara or Cotto.

Canelo vs Wolak would be a war, as would Angulo.

    All good fights.
