There's a lot of skill and quality education on display in there.

    Round 3

Coleman catches Paris with a big hook. Paris comes forward and lines up several hard rights, targeting Coleman's (20" in circumference) bald spot. Nice rights to the body by Paris as well, just driving forward with it and throwing it very straight and sharp. Now they exchange a bit, both trying to defend between salvos and both landing pretty well. Paris gets in some good left hooks. Coleman keeps pumping his 1-2 on his way in as Paris smacks him with jabs on the back foot.

    10-9 Paris

    28-28

    Tough round to score there.

I thought Coleman looked hurt by a bodyshot, I give Paris the round based on that. Coleman landed quite a few shots though.

    29-27 Coleman.

Great fight; skills on display, head-body fluid punching, and no pitter pat bull****: better than anything i've seen on HBO in a while.

He might beat them on a good night. I'm not sure he'd knock them out.

Paris got dropped, but he's also clearly come in tonight with his mind made up to meet Coleman in the middle of the ring and take what he can dish out. He'd probably be warier and have more of a defensive game plan against Vargas (as would Coleman). They'd both give Vargas' power a lot more respect than they give each other.
