Nunez keeps laying it on. Wild shots coming out in straight lines but from random angles make Cubias duck and dodge for cover as he backs away as quickly as he can. Nunez gives chase and fires. Cubias grabs him. They touch jabs. Nunez throws a hard right to the body, stretching out above the waist as he reaches. Cubias backs himself into a corner and tries to slip a long flurry. Nunez pounds him with a hook above the right hip.

Round 3

Nunez harangues Cubias, schooling him on pure pressure. Nunez announces his presence with his long arms, tapping Cubias from a few feet away before taking those last few steps to catch up with him and just impose his body on him. Cubias is trying to avoid getting caught up on the ropes, aware of his surroundings but not throwing much of anything back even when he stops to wait for Nunez as he eases by the corners. Nunez keeps putting multiples together, throwing as hard now as in the first two rounds. Cubias is negative all the way. One little flurry by Cubias, winding around the back of Nunez's head and otherwise missing entirely.

Massive gulf in class here, and Nunez only has 7 pro rounds' experience on the debuting Cubias.

 

Round 4

Jab to the face by Nunez. Hard hooks clip Cubias as he backs up with his hands down. Nunez drops a torpedo right to the lower body and a short hook to the pecs. Hook to the belt line by Nunez. Cubias ducks down and windmills his arms overhead, and Nunez just drubs him across the back. Cubias keeps backing up and getting caught at the end of right hands. Cubias tries to rush underneath a jab to land a body shot but gets cold feet and pulls the plug on the operation when halfway there. 45 seconds left. Cubias isn't scoring a knockout. This is over. Nunez lands some hooks to back Cubias into a corner. Cubias tries to hook with him but is rocked back. Stiff jabs to the face by Nunez. Clinch, with Nunez leaning down on Cubias.
