He didn't quit, the ref punished him for pulling a flop job worthy of a soccer player (or pro wrestler) - acting exaggeratedly hurt by what may or may not have been a foul, hoping to either buy time so he could recover from the legit punches that he was hurt by (or maybe in his wildest dreams get a DQ)

 

Well, hard to determine anything from that, exercise in brevity and massive physical mismatch that it was, but McKenna didn't look glaringly awful, I guess?

 

No boxing ATG has a fruitier voice than ODLH. He makes Emile Griffith sound like R. Lee Ermey.

Most impressive thing about the KO in Gómez vs. Gibson is that E-Boy actually got hit flush with a jab between the eyes that made him recoil a split-second before he launched the finishing blow.

Anybody that has boxed knows how difficult maintaining your form and follow-through after getting tapped even with a light shot - let alone that stiff jab of Gibson's - on that spot (your "3rd eye") really is.
