These guys both weighed in over the SFW limit (Baham 134.5, Marie-Francoise 131.5)

Why is ESPN2 calling this a super featherweight bout when it's clearly being contested at lightweight? :?

    Round 1

Laham jabs and leans in against Marie-Francoise, then jumps out and trots to his left a bit before leaning back in and grinding against his man again. Marie-Francoise backs up and jabs, then covers up with his elbows at his hips and fists at his face. Hooks to the body by Marie-Francoise leaning in. Laham doesn't like them and jumps outside for some circling. High jabs by Laham. Guard splitting jab by Marie-Francoise. Sneaky uppercut inside by Marie-Francoise. Laham lands a jab turning Marie-Francoise. Another. Double hook to the side of the head by Marie-Francoise. Good exchange at the bell.

10-9 Laham but Marie-Francoise did alright

There is no 8 count in Quebec. Same thing in the Unified rules.

    Round 2

Spirited flurries off the jab by Marie-Francoise while pushing inside. Laham puts his forearms out and grinds into him. Left and right uppercuts to the body by Laham while shoving in. Quick flurry of head taps by Marie-Francoise. Laham reaches around with a cuffing hook and gets countered. Marie-Francoise builds off that short counter and lands a big long flurry to the face. Laham pushes ahead, squeezing his wrists around his eyes and bowing in as Marie-Francoise catches him on the end of the jab. Laham reaches up high with a left hook, throwing blind from behind his gloves. Marie-Francoise hits him with a few consecutive light uppercuts. Now a flurry up top.

    10-9 Marie-Francoise

    19-19

I have it even. I like that they are both putting in some body work.

Yeah, supposedly the man from Madagascar is being "fed" to the Canadian - but I could see an argument to have him up 2-0 so far. :think

    Cherry pick gone wrong, perhaps.

Same score, reversing the winners of each round, though. Weird.

Seriously? I thought Marie-Françoise clearly won the second round.

Have you been to any of the boxing gyms in Montreal? A lot of talent has gravitated there.
