Round 1

Jabs by Alvarez. Saunders circles left, leaning back behind his clenched and closely-bundled fists. They trade jabs while circling. Saunders gives up after a while, and Alvarez keeps jabbing into the guard and occasionally through it. Saunders is very careful, posture tilted all the way back and forearms protecting his face. Alvarez keeps popping jabs out of a low-left stance, now into the belly of Saunders. Alvarez brings the jab back up and pierces the high guard. Right cross by Alvarez makes Saunders dip back at the waist. A pair of nice digs to the body by Alvarez, quick hands. Saunders throws a high jab over the left shoulder as Alvarez rolls down under it. Really nice jabs by Alvarez. Saunders paws and misses one. Solid plug to the belly by Alvarez with a left jab.

Is it just me or did Eleider look damn good in that opener, despite it not being a barn burner?

 

Round 2

Jab to the lower body, straight to the chest by Alvarez from outside. Jabs to the chin by Alvarez, doubled and tipping Saunders' head back. HARD rapid spanking flurry downstairs by Alvarez, sends Saunders skipping back toward the ropes. Saunders ducks and shimmies on the outside, engaging in full-body wavy motions while wiggling his butt. Alvarez watches from outside, spying for any tiny subtle movements of Saunders' hands and pouncing with the 1-2 through the gloves. Saunders telegraphs a right hand lead and gets countered while circling.
