Feel bad for Ajose but I'm surprised at how little impact he made in the fight.
How do you think Peterson v Lundy would go?

Lamont's consistent bodywork wears down Lundy.

If Molina could stop Lundy, Lamont could probably turn the trick on this somewhat improved Lundy.

Ajose's power was never anything special so Lucas probably knew he could just take chances and walk him down.

Think Peterson wins once he gets going hes a beast, he will break Lundy down and win a Wide UD

In a career crossroads fight, Lundy came up HUGE!!! I scored the fight big for Lundy, 9-1 rounds, 99-91 points, giving Olusegun the 2nd round, same exact scorecard as Teddy Atlas. I don't know if Lundy switched trainers, or if he rebooted himself, but he looked FIERCE tonight, much more disciplined than the fighter I had seen in his recent fights. His concentration never lapsed, his movement in and out was fantastic, and his punches were crisp throughout. His dominance in his huge 5th, 6th, and late 7th rounds was astonishing. ESPN punch stats had Olusegun landing 20%, but that seemed high to me, Lundy blocked most of what Olusegun threw, his movement caused Olusegun to miss most of the rest, and what Olusegun DID land was NEVER clean. Absolutely GOBSMACKED Lundy had this performance in him. I was skeptical about him moving to 140, especially with his lack of KO power, and pre-fight tonight I thought he looked thick in the middle, but I was wrong, he looked at ease at 140, and now this win puts him near the Top Ten in a STACKED 140 division. HUGE win!!!

I still feel Peterson would win a close fight against Lundy. But an in shape, focused Lundy is a tough fight for many 140's, and that includes Peterson.

Peterson close UD, or SD, would be my pick.

He was focused almost 100% on Hank's body and did land many shots down there...at least early on.

there's also a difference between an unbeaten fighter high in confidence in his first title fight even though it was an interim and a fighter coming off his first career loss.

Haha yeah. That ship sailed a long time ago though.

Like others have said, Peterson would rightfully be the favourite but maybe the LuCurse strikes again?

Ajose just simply isn't that good. Yeah he's tough and can take a beating but his skills are average at best and his power is eh. His best win is getting stopped by Mattyesse followed by and unimpressive decision over an equally unimpressive Ali Chebah.

    I missed this gem earlier...

"Lundy deals with southpaws the same way he deals with vampires - turns a mirror on them and shows their own image! :deal"

    - Teddy Atlas, in the 7th.

    Hank Lundy, Vampire Slayer.
