like i'm not a haye fanatic, who blame wlad for everything, i understand after all the trash talk and getting ready to "peak" on june 20th he would be upset, i've said in other threads, they should post-pone till july 11th, and if haye doesnt think he will be 100% by july 11th 2 weeks out then fight ruslan july 11th...wlad will still make his pot of gold.

That, and even if he did, he's not popular enough in America to be on PPV. The numbers would be so low it wouldn't even be worth it. His brother Vitali was on PPV against Williams back in late 04, it did very low numbers.

Yeah I understand but it's not easy as that. First Haye is not cleared before the 24th, RTL cannot show Wlad in Germany on this date, there is risks that Haye may hurt himself again and Chagaev may not be available. Klitschko has already lost money because it's already June and he didn't fight yet...

Chagaev is a totally superior fighter than Haye and always will be. He has fought an defeated top ten heavyweight fighters for years, has a rock solid chin and is the "only" one to beat Valouev. When Vlad defeats Chagaev, this will put lots of pressure on Valouev and Don King to fight him. Haye is nothing, really no chance for Haye, complete mismatch.

Yep, I guess he will never be a household name in the states.

i actually think valuev should fight vitali, but thats just imo....haye imo with wlad having chin problems in the past is a serious threat to wlad, NOT vitali......and i dont think wlad has a glas chin, just that its average....and imo if haye connected with a flush right hand, i see wlad having problems.

because they want their audience to stay awake. It may be a unification bout but did you see how boring Chagaev-Valuev was :tired? I hate to say it but it looks like Haye is the only interesting fight for the heavyweight division at the moment.

Hopefully ESPN will pick up the fight so that those of us that don't have HBO can watch it.

HBO was the geniuses that didnt buy the taylor-froch fight b/c they said it wouldnt be competitive, and it was one of the best fights of the year in one of the best divisions in boxing......

Is HBO even fans of boxing or do they just guess??? Ive already seen people from other websites saying they are cutting their hbo subscription!!

I really hope when wlad faces povetkin/haye in the future he makes sure to fight on which ever channel has sense enough to buy this fight!!! Showtime showed alot of tysons fights and lewis's fights so obviously they have enough brains to pickup the fight

i guess hbo does not want to pay for because vlad may pull another stinky performance against a southpaw

hbo is about money compared to showtime, they catter to fans and money....thats why they hyped arreola, because of his potential huge fan base in the states.

what about povetkin??? a good come forward, undefeated ,true HW that is proven rather than an unproven cruiser that has been KOED by 190-200lb cruisers

arreola would get koed in the 1st round if he fights anything like he has been, and haye really wasnt all that impressive against a tomato can, he looked sloppy and not near as fast as he was.... povetkin has cleared out a tournament of HW contenders...

Haye will be better in 6-12 months at HW, he is only 28 and the fight will be much bigger and wlad will get credit for beating a very good HW instead now which the haters would just say he beat a blown up cruiser..

HBO did not show Vitali Vs. Peter, but Showtime did!!!!!!! Look at all of the boring fights HBO has shown, yet when Vitali fought Gomez, ESPN was the one that showed that fight!!!!!!! To Hell with HBO! I hope Showtime will pick this fight up, Chagaev would knock Haye out! I will see that fight if I have to fly to Germany.
