    Usmanee is getting ripped with counter left hooks while rowing in and flipping up both gloves with a great deal of effort spent for very little gain. Mendez is backing up, staying out of reach, popping jabs into Usmanee's face, and proving slippery on the inside when Usmanee jumps in on him. Usmanee lands a right hand late and catches Mendez's attention. They trade after the bell, Usmanee getting in the last shot. Both yak at each other as the ref gets in between.

    10-9 Mendez but close and Usmanee probably stole it on aggression junkies' scorecards with the late rally.

    Usmanee is pressuring Mendez to the ropes, connecting a bit with the right hand. Mendez then turns the tides, fighting out to center ring with hooks and rights to the head of Usmanee, who shakes his head defiantly. Big whipping rights to the temple by Mendez. Usmanee pushes into him and clops the body with underhand shots. Right hand by Usmanee as Mendez backs straight up. Mendez leans in and rolls his shoulder. Accurate pot shots off the ropes by Mendez. Left hook and right hand thrown artlessly by Usmanee but drowning Mendez in leather.
