    Round 12

Usmanee is putting the baton jab into the body and forcing Mendez to the ropes. Mendez slinks down and escapes with a turn, covering up. Usmanee keeps pressing but is visibly fatigued. Mendez counters with short hooking combos on the inside. Their legs entwine and Mendez falls to hands and knees. Not a knockdown - the ref may have not even seen it, so quickly did Mendez bounce up. Right hand by Usmanee. Mendez backs up with his left arm held out to bar entry to Usmanee. Jabs to the body by Usmanee, pushing right up against the barrier. Usmanee walks through a 1-2 and drops a big overhand right across the clavicle of Mendez. Wild shots by Mendez turning off the ropes, tired. BIG FLURRY BY USMANEE!! Mendez is rocked and trying to hold. They trade hooks! MENDEZ LANDS A STUNNING RIGHT, WOBBLING USMANEE.

    10-9 Usmanee

    117-111 Mendez

Next year 130 will be the best division in boxing: Mikey Garcia, Uchiyama, Lomachenko, Mendez, maybe Gamboa. They're all p4p talents.

    115-113 for Mendez

Tough fight but UZI let off the pressure in the middle rds and Mendez went in cruise mode.

UZIs either gotta stay on the gas pedal or learn to make adjustments.

Tough loss, but hopefully he'll learn and get another shot someday.

Time to hit the Clevel circuit and sharpen his skills and maybe improve his power. Couple times he coulda ended it if he had that equalizer.

Gamboa has moved up to lightweight last I heard. Way too big for this div. now.

EDIT: Don't forget Mini-Burgos and Roman Martinez!
