All you have to do is watch and see who is getting hit clean and who isn't. That's all a judge has to do. Landing on arms is not landing.

I wasn't scoring round by round but I thought Mendez clearly won 8 rounds or so. I could live with a 7-5 Mendez scorecard but I don't see how you can give Usmanee 7 rounds and I was rooting for him.

You continue to astound me with how deeply you follow the sport, I've never heard of those guys. But bad decisions on any level shouldn't be ignored.

 

I bet pretty big on UZI......I knew I shoulda parlayed on the draw. A lousy 10vcash woulda tripled my over bets on him.

 

On an end note as I retire to bed, staying up to watch ESPN FNF makes me wish for the return of Friday Fight Night here in the UK.

 

Like Teddy suggested, most of these recent bad decisions aren't because of blatant corruption, but because of incompetence. Judges are clueless and are scoring rounds for just throwing punches.

 

There's no way that was a draw but at least Mendez retains his title. :conf

Imagine if Esteves called that one instance, where Mendez's gloves touched the canvas, a knockdown, Usmanee would have been awarded the decision.

 

I thought Usmanee took the first four rounds and got a nearly bizarre lack of credit for clearly landed, flush body punches from the commentators. Good punches, not shoe-shining shite either. And I saw a couple other close enough rounds that I edged for Mendez, but close enough calls. :conf I had it close for Mendez. I honestly don't see anything outrageous here.
